Creativity in education
At Ecolint, creativity is at the heart of teaching.
Educating students for a world and for careers that may not yet exist is certainly a challenge. Academic thinking is pushing teachers at Ecolint and worldwide to look carefully at the role of creativity in teaching, learning and thinking as one important way of responding to a rapidly evolving world.
The Arts Centre will put creativity at the heart of the La Grande Boissère curriculum. Innovation thrives when people with different backgrounds meet and interact. This will be encouraged as the three arts departments come together and we create new common performance and exhibition spaces. The Arts Centre will be a hub of creative activity and new ideas.
Creativity is a process and it can apply to any discipline or academic programme. At Ecolint, our aim is to teach for creativity.
So why are we talking about creativity?
If you are curious to know more about the debate about creativity this is an interesting place to start. Ken Robinson, an authority on creativity in education, has much to say and it gives food for thought. We hope it will stimulate your thinking about creativity at LGB.
