Joining the dots – The Centre des arts of the International School of Geneva on the kids platform.

A creative education points the way by joining the dots between science and art, schools and university, universities and industry, between the individual learner and the collective; by promoting skills in innovation, creativity and critical thinking to be shared across all segments of society and areas of knowledge. Experimental, practical, and playful activities and talks, the programme aims at developing new networks by using the Arts in connection to other disciplines and technologies. We foster the creative and critical faculties of all participants to focus upon today’s challenges using task appropriate and innovative skills sets.

The International School of Geneva has built a Centre des arts, a place of study, reflection, exploration and transmission. It is a laboratory for ideas and shared experiences, using the arts as experimental tools for learning in a committed and responsible manner. It is dedicated to placing the child at the centre in an holistic approach to education aimed at  developing emotionally intelligent, creative and confident adults. Questioning, problem solving, the right to make mistakes and the establishing of links between different disciplines are at the heart of its pedagogical concept.
