Conference by Emmanuel Mbolela - Screening, lecture and debate

8:15-9:45 - Registration
Persecuted for political reasons, Emmanuel Mbolela fled the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2002. Travelling during six years, he had to face many difficulties alongside countless other migrants and refugees. Refusing to be labelled as a victim, he cofounded together with some compatriots the first association of refugees in Morocco. Mbolela obtained political asylum in the Netherlands in 2008. His book, Réfugié, une odyssée africaine, tells his story.

Participants will be shown extracts from a report made by program Cash about human rights violations in the manufacturing process of mobile phones. The screening will be followed by a debate/questions.
