A partnership between the Antigel Festival, the Theatre Department and the Think Tank Theatre presents the chamber piece of "Gulliver"- open to students and outside audience. It is a show available for all audiences from 8 years old.
From the novel by Jonathan Swift, we created a back stage that counts with the characteristics of BLASTED: observation. The audience, in the position of a traveller, will look through a window and listen with headphones. Isn't observing without being seen a childish pleasure?
Another challenge is added: question the subjectivity of the gaze through a matter of scale by using techniques of spatialisation by binaural hearing. How like the sailor Lemuel Guillver, do we apprehend a war situation when we are liliputians among giants or giants among liliputians?
The Think Tank Theatre is a structure of creation and reflexion with the goal of giving a structure to the various collaborations that Karim bel Kacem sets up. This projects are all linked to each other by a concept of "wider theatre." Indeed, the theatre can reconnect with its political function through exploring various arts ( cinema, etc...) and themes (sport, associations, etc...)
