EXPOSITION: FROM THE 8TH OF FEBUARY TO THE 10TH OF MARCH 2017 IN THE ARTS CENTER
The exhibition- Yona Friedman; the Dilution of Architecture, will take place in the Centre des arts at the International School of Geneva and will allow people to discover the work in Design and Architecture of our students who were directly inspired by the work of the French architect and artist of Hungarian origin: Yona Friedman.
While being one of the most fascinating theorician in architecture of our time, Friedman is mostly known for his concept of spatial City that applies the basic concepts of creating mutable superstructures on already existing cities. He has always been trying to give people the structures where they would think of rebuilding their own environment, be it in slums, in developing countries or in modern occidental cities. Improvising in architecture allows the architecture to change from a traditional production to an evolving drawing with a meaning. Moreover, the students will have the opportunity to start their research by visiting the first edition of the London Design Biennale which allows them to be exposed to new approaches in design.
