The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) is a world-class drama and music school based in the UK and is a leader in graded examinations, setting the standard for speech, communication and drama around the world. The top LAMDA qualifications, at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, are recognised by UCAS and are also looked on favourably by UK universities. LAMDA courses are open to all students at La Grande Boissière from grades 4 to 13 (ages 8 to 19).
LAMDA Public Speaking
LAMDA Graded Examinations in Communication: Speaking in Public are designed to develop the skills necessary for effective oral communication and public presentation. These examinations will benefit native English speakers as well as those for whom English is a second language.
Public Speaking courses are delivered through one-to-one sessions which are arranged directly with the teacher.
Students will work with the teacher and during the first term will agree an appropriate level for exam entry.

Teacher: Anne Wilde
Anne Wilde is an American actress, voiceover artist and presenter. In addition to performing, she has also worked on projects throughout Europe as a writer, broadcast journalist, and director. Her background includes film, television, web TV, corporate films, institutional films, documentaries, TV/radio commercials, animated cartoon series, video games, motion design, radio imaging, live theatrical performance, event coordination and workshop facilitation. She received her training from NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Atlantic Theatre Co.), Circle in the Square (Broadway Theatre Conservatory), Temple University (Radio/TV/Film Program – Philadelphia & London) and the American Film Institute Professional Training Division – LA. Anne is a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG), American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA); Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), as well as Swiss Association of Professional Voiceover Artists (VPS/ASP).
