Ecolint Symposiums take place throughout the year. They begin with a presentation by the speaker of the day and are followed by an apéritif. The sociable moment we spend together discussing pedagogy is as important as the talk itself and contributes to Ecolint’s tradition of open exchange and spirit of lifelong learning.

The Geneva Literary Aid Society is proud to bring Sharon Shannon and her band to Geneva for the first time.

HAKANAÏ

23 November 2017 at 19:30

COMPAGNIE ADRIEN M & CLAIRE B

"Hakanaï" is a performance by a dancer in a cube of moving images. A choreography that draws the evanescence of dreams and the impermanence of things.

In Japanese, Hakanaï defines what is impermanent, fragile, evanescent, transitory, between dream and reality. A very ancient word, it evokes an elusive matter associated with the human condition and its precariousness, but also associated with nature. It is written by combining two elements, one that designates man and the other that designates dreams. This symbolic collage is the starting point of this score where a dancer encounters images, creating a space situated at the fringes of the imaginery and the real.

The images are played live, according to physical models of movement, to the rhythm of an acoustic creation that is also played live. The show is tri-frontal, and at the end of the performance, the set-up is opened up to spectators.

The Adrien M & Claire B company creates forms ranging from shows to installations in the field of digital and living arts. It is co-directed by Claire Bardainne and Adrien Mondot. Their approach places human beings at the center of the technological challenge, and the body at the heart of the images, specialising itself in the customised developement of its computer tools. They continue their search for the digitally alive: mobile, artisanal, ephemeral and sensitive.
